MICHAEL Clegg’s performance as manager of Warrington Rylands has been rewarded with a new deal.
He has signed a new two-year deal which will see him on board at Gorsey Lane until 2026.
Clegg took over Blues 12 months ago as Jody Banim’s replacement and is spearheading Blues’ promotion campaign in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
He has proven to be a popular acquisition, fitting in well throughout the club.
Before joining Rylands, Clegg had been the boss at Ashton United for three years.
And prior to joining Ashton in 2019, Clegg had a hugely successful five-year spell in charge of Atherton Collieries.
He led them to three promotions and a place in the Northern Premier League’s top flight.
Rylands host bottom-of-the-league Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow, Saturday, kick-off 3pm, when they will hope to mark the gaffer’s new contract with a first victory in three outings.
