WARRINGTON Rylands produced an impressive second-half fightback to maintain their unbeaten away record in the league.
Skipper James Neild plundered an equaliser to complete his side’s recovery from 2-0 down at Workington on Saturday afternoon, but wins for all three of the sides immediately behind them in the Northern Premier League Premier Division allowed them to close the gap.
And league leaders Radcliffe's 3-2 victory at Macclesfield allowed them to stretch their lead over Michael Clegg's second-placed side to nine points having played two games fewer.
As a result of dominant victories on Saturday, Marine and Hyde United now close to four points behind Blues while Worksop Town are a further point back with a game in hand.
Mo Touray had set up the fightback with a goal in the early stages of the second half after the hosts had gone into the break two goals to the good thanks to a David Symington brace.
