‘WORRYING’ items have been seized after a bouncer was sprayed in the face in Warrington town centre.

Warrington Police took to Facebook to share the news.

They said that a person is in custody on suspicion of possession of an incapacitant spray, a section 5 firearm, after a member of door staff was sprayed in the face.

Following the incident, which happened in the town centre, a search of the suspect’s home address took place.

Here, worrying items, which appear to include knives, swords, and even handcuffs, were recovered.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A subsequent search of the suspect’s home address recovered these worrying items which have now all been safely taken into police possession and away from the streets.”
