A CHARACTERFUL home on a busy street through the centre of Warrington will be transformed into a HMO.
Plans have been approved by Warrington Borough Council’s planning department for number 31 Wilson Patten Street.
These are for the conversion of an existing seven-bed dwelling to a 10-bed house of multiple occupancy, or HMO.
Documents state: “Number 31 is typical in example of the row in style and form, the greater row made up of various use classes, including business, single dwellings, apartments and HMOs.
“The general finish details of the street vary, including both timber and UPVC sash and casement windows, timber and composite doors and various other fixtures and fittings.
“The existing site is 302 square-metres, an end-of-row terraced dwelling, located on a primary street of residential character.
“It has existing front yard and hardstand or garden yard to the rear, existing garage and access via a shared entry between the property and a neighbour.
“The proposed development seeks to provide a total of 10 bedrooms with shared kitchen dining space.”
They add: “We believe this HMO meets the area’s needs and requirements by providing high-quality, entry-level housing, and the regeneration of the building will contribute to the conservation area.”
